Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for all stages of quality assurance for complex products and platforms, including testing strategy, analysis, results evaluation, and proposed corrective actions
Have experience in manual testing on Linux based platform, should have capability to deploy and test on Virtual Machine and K8 environment provided by Azure, AWS, Tanzu.
Tester should have understanding on test deployment on K8 environment, understanding of integration with Cloud platform capability will bring added advantage.
Work on Container deployment flavor of the product as well which is recently released
Develop automation shell scripts. Tester should have ability to do manual testing and automation using shell script.
Evaluating processes for software testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans for functional, integration, stress, performance & regression tests
Arrive at smart qualification strategy for various use case of customers' deployments vs smart test coverage in a hands-on and self-driven fashion
Work closely with development teams to analyze, debug, and resolve product issues
Help peers in R&D function with your strong sense of commitment & ownership to drive things to closure, with decisive verbal & written communication skills and courtesy.
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
7+ years of experience with testing distributed systems
Wired for Automation-first approach to QA
Overall knowledge of telecom domain and protocols like Diameter, Radius, SOAP/HTTP, SMPP, Web Services, HTTP Rest architecture etc.
Good knowledge of networking: Protocols, distributed systems, network security and high availability
Experience in Software Product/Solution testing (functional, system and performance)
Experience in product testing with tools like Seagull, J-Meter, SOAP UI etc
Good knowledge of Web Services (SOAP/HTTP), XML, JMX, JDBC, JMS, LDAP, Java Security etc.
Working knowledge of databases like Oracle, MySQL
Knowledge of High Availability Systems (HA)
Experience in performance and load testing
Good knowledge and hands-on Telecom software testing experience
Good programming skills in any language [Java, Python, Shell scripting] with objects
Knowledge/Willingness on Virtualization and Containerization technologies (Docker & Kubernetes)
Comprehensive view of SDLC in an Agile/dynamic setup
