Job Description

Qualified candidates will be responsible for but not limited to the review of and creation of test scripts. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and executing test scripts/scenarios to ensure regular system upgrades and changes do not impact the functionality of the business.
Key success factors for this position:

ability to identify and apply functional and regression test strategies
ability to collaborate in a variety of business areas and team members
ability to coordinate and remediate test failures
Experience testing Oracle Products such as Oracle ERP (EBS Field Service, Projects to Close, Depot Repair) and Oracle Cloud Products (OEC - CX Call) modules are preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Author test scripts and test scenarios
Verify and assure Oracle functionality
Coordinate and discuss test scripts/results with IT team
Review training materials and incorporate or create new scripts
Provide regular status updates to the Manager
Develop standards, methods, or procedures to determine release readiness
Testing includes but is not limited to: operating system upgrades (regression testing), performance tuning, implementations, new functionality (unit testing)
Reporting and reviewing of test results
Create and manage testing process documents including test planning, test execution, defect, and test scheduling
Conduct issue/resolution meetings
Continuous improvement of the test scripts and testing process
Working in an agile development environment, proactively work with Development and Project Management team to identify testing needs and schedule the test effort accordingly
Work in a collaborative environment with end users, implementation team members, and management.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Seek continual improvement of our Oracle software quality processes.
Seek technology, processes, and skills to enable delivery of innovative solutions.
Engage external resources (IT consultants) and provide understanding of the Oracle roll out plan, organizational structure and processes.
Strive to meet IT service levels through appropriate and timely action in accordance to Vertiv’s IT/project strategy and requirements.

Indirect
INTERACTIONS:
Collaboration with implementation & support teams on business process quality.
Collaboration with application development teams on custom software quality.
Collaboration with instance management teams on patch testing.
Team with Group Business Analysts, Security , Disaster Recovery and associated Manager’s, and others to incorporate SOX, financial, and other compliance requirements.
Partner with consulting partners to provide training and guidance to contracted resources.
Close collaboration with the Technical Services, Program Management Office (PMO), and Program Operations IT teams and consulting partners to achieve results, provide guidance.

POSITION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in software quality assurance, computer science, business, or a related field.
Three or more years experience testing business applications
Experience testing with large ERP or system applications.
Proven experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
Proven ability to write documentation.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
Proactive; takes the initiative to seek process and performance improvements.
Self disciplined detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or equivalent experience.
5 or more years experience in Information Systems.
Oracle Application functional knowledge of core modules is highly desired.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensures enterprise business applications meet functional, technical, and performance requirements; are free of defects; and meets SOX, financial, and other compliance requirements. These objectives are accomplished by software testing and remediation.
