Introduction:
• The role requires an experienced, high calibre performance engineer with good analytical skills to test and tune application in agreed time and quality parameters.
• Participate in holistic performance engineering lifecycle of the application by effectively doing below activities:
• Capture NFRs, do detailed Workload Model,
• Understanding application architecture/design and accordingly create/execute load test scenario,
• Automate collation of performance test results
• Present it to various stakeholders as per defined standards.
• Identify recurring system and application issues and collaborate with other teams, stakeholders to investigate and resolve them.
What will you be doing?
Application Performance Testing and Engineering:
• Should be able to create and execute different performance test scenarios using LoadRunner
• Do application scalability/bottleneck analysis by correlating Application performance with Infrastructure monitoring trends using various monitoring/profiling/Log Analysis tools like AppDynamics, Splunk etc.
• Be able to setup Performance Test Environment independently. Plan and do voluminous data setup.
• Prepare detailed status reports and track all defects and Performance issues to closure.
What we’re looking for:
• Atleast 5+ years of experience in performance engineering and reliability engineering
• Strong knowledge of performance engineering concepts e.g. NFRs gathering, Workload Modelling, Performance Test Plan and Strategy, scripting framework, results analysis
• Hands on experience using different Load testing tools like LoadRunner, JMeter etc. and Industry reputed Application Performance Monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Wily Introscope etc.
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience in performance testing and tuning of APIs/microservice based applications (Spring boot, Java/J2EE) on cloud platforms would be much preferred
• Foundational understanding of Java Performance concepts like JVM Internals, Garbage Collection Mechanisms, Thread Management, Connection Pool etc. are highly desirable.
• Should have good knowledge in:
• SQL Scripting and performance monitoring for Oracle DB
• Continuous integration and Testing using Jenkins
• Analyzing application trends from Splunk
• Pervious Barclays Experience.
• Experienced with all major development and delivery phases and activities.

• Bitbucket/Stash
• AppDynamics
• Splunk
