Responsibilities:
Code, maintain, and execute test automation scripts for web, web-services, and mobile applications.
Lead and participate in design, enhancement, and implementation of test automation architecture and framework.
Identify, analyze, and document complex defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies.
Provide direction on automation techniques.
Perform automation code reviews.
Design test automation strategy and lead its implementation.
Provide estimates for test automation activities on Stories.
Mentor Test Automation Engineers and Developers on automation.
Map business and technical requirements into test cases and test scripts.
Design, build, and maintain test automation infrastructure.
Investigate and analyze test failures, report any defects, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas across the organization.
Collaborate with Product Management, developers, quality assurance and other stakeholders to identify candidates for test automation.
Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in computer science or related area or equivalent industry experience
5+ years’ direct coding / test automation development experience.
Expertise working with one or both of C#/.NET ecosystem or Java/JVM ecosystem
Experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript/NodeJS ecosystem
Experience leveraging contemporary deployment technologies like Docker, Terraform, etc
Knowledge of buffering, stream processing, complex event processing, and storage solutions (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka, Mongo, etc)
Experience with Selenium WebDriver, BDD tools (SpecFlow) or other open source/commercial market-leading solutions for functional, regression, or performance test automation.
API and Web Services (RESTful, SOAP) automation background.
Deep understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms, practices, concepts, algorithms, and data structures.
Experience designing, implementing, and working with multiple, diverse automation frameworks. Bellatrix a plus!
Expertise in automation framework architecture.
Experience working with GIT or any other version control system.
Experience implementing Continuous Integration and build automation systems.
Experience leading automation or manual testing teams.
Understanding of relational database concepts and SQL language.
Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
Strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task day-to-day activities.
Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with ERP solutions is a plus; preferably Plex or other manufacturing focused solutions.
Knowledge of ASP (VBScript), ASP.NET (C#) or MVC is a plus.
Experience in automated testing of mobile applications (Appium) is a plus.
Knowledge of cloud based automation platforms is a plus.
Experience working in a continuous integration or Agile Scrum environment is a plus
Experience with Jira/Confluence or is a plus
