The Candidate shall architecture the test automation for QA systems in compliance with the Barclays standards.
S/He will be required to build automation solution for the EF Cash platform
S/He will also work on automation enhancement, automation tests across EF cash to achieve continuous testing.
What will you be doing?
Estimates size of QA automation backlog items and Evaluates technical feasibility
Translates automation requirements into engineering design and logical units of work.
Drives execution on the UI and server side automation development.
Propagates Behaviour driven development and encourages the team to improve test coverage and automation of unit and integration test.
Applies automation development & engineering best practices.
Ensures the Design goals – Modularity, Reliability, Maintainability, Reusability, Repetability are met.
Creates and Maintains automation architecture, framework, technical documentation
Owns and runs with release tasks and collaborates with release management and BA/QA teams to make sure production releases are performed with high levels accuracy.
The Functional QA Lead owns the delivery of testing for assigned Projects and releases through the testing lifecycle/Agile process, designing, maintaining and executing test cases within project timelines, reporting on test progress, logging /reporting defects, and supporting user acceptance testing.
The Candidate will promote and support best practices and proactively takes measures to ensure direct reports are well supported and challenged, ensure each team member is contributing at or above their individual assigned roles and that they have the necessary knowledge and tools.
Working with Team Lead to understand the bi-weekly metrics demonstrating delivery levels and productivity output and seeks out areas of process improvement.
Accountable for introducing Advanced Testing practices, Test Automation strategies and agile principles.

Have a strong academic background in computer science or engineering with 8+ years of experience.
Ability to interpret user requirements and convert them into deployable production code with a high degree of independence
Proven track record of overcoming challenges and continuous education.

Skills and knowledge required:
Hands on experience on Core Java, JDBC, REST AP, Cucumber (BDD) and Selenium.
Knowledge of SQL and relation databases. Hands On experience with Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
In Depth Knowledge of REST API & WebServices
Knowledge of testing frameworks (Cucumber, Serenity, JUNIT, Protractor etc)
Experience with agile development methodologies leveraging DevOps best practices (TeamCity, Sonar)
Knowledge of tools like Eclipse, Nexus, Sonar, Perforce, Git and JIRA is a plus
