A proven and experience automated test Engineer with 7-9 years of strong manual testing and automation test scripting/testing experience required to work within a team for a product / application in HCM Domain.
What You Will Do
Participate actively in Test Planning and Test Strategy for Automation
Maintains and obtains approval from Stakeholders for the Test Automation plan
Creates and supports metrics and status reporting
Provides Test Automation expertise to various projects
Provides the overall automated testing solution with input from stakeholders
Evaluates new technologies and tools available
Provides end to end automated tests as well as stand-alone automation tests to reduce manual regression testing time
Provide stand-alone automation tests that would be beneficial for other business areas
Prepares detailed automated tests (Coded where possible), define estimates based on automation delivery tasks
Integrates manual and automated test execution effort
Drive and be an advocate for Automation within the Development department and company wide
Coaching individuals and teams on Automation. Create adequate backup by training and mentoring juniors.
Stakeholder management and provide demonstrations to different audiences
Keeping industry best practice in mind and adopting them wherever possible
Participate in the delivery of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes
Take on any additional work/initiatives relating to test processes as deemed appropriate
Create, review & maintain test scripts for web based/on premise application based on defined test strategy.
Prioritize activities and have capability to manage time with team to prioritize deliveries.
Implement / Design automation framework and lead automation development and execution
Collaborate with developers to improve overall product quality, by emphasizing defect prevention throughout the development process
Participate in all release planning and relevant internal testing meetings to ensure deliverables are planned well.
What You Will Have
Candidate should have overall testing experience of 8 years with more than 4 years of experience in functional automation tool on testing web applications preferable on cloud platform like Azure / AWS or on premise applications.
Mandatory hands on experience in Test Automation using Test Complete / Selenium / Cypress.
Mandatory hands on experience in API automation, Web Services, REST API testing.
Very Good experience in implementing and designing/reviewing automation test strategy/automation test framework. Preferable to have working experience on BDD/TDD.
Error handling and implementing the recovery scenarios using test framework.
Experience and skills to translate test case requirements into manual/automated end-to-end test scripts
Experience in integrating test suites into the test management system like Zephyr.
Good working experience of CI/CD tools like Jenkins. Good to have experience in using integration tools which help in productivity improvement.
Good communication skills and ability to communicate/work independently
Desirable knowledge on HCM domain (UK payroll/workforce management) and knowledge on ISO9001, ISO27001, ISO18001, GDPR, ISO14001
Good knowledge on Agile process and tools like JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, Jenkins
