Key Responsibilities:
Understand the domain and the product in detail and develop the test strategy/planning.
Translate requirements into test cases and test plans for testing product features.
Ensure the best-in-class quality features across a broad array of products.
Interact with product management, business analysts and development teams to develop an understanding of the product and testing objectives.
Serve as a thought leader in the product feature related issues and the QA landscape.
Must have skills
4 to 7 year of experience in test management (manual & automation for both UI and backend)
Experience in Analyzing user stories and designing the test cases for manual and automation testing
Take complete ownership and lead end-to-end testing for a particular product/feature.
Experience in deriving test strategy, test plan.
Experience in testing web applications and desktop applications.
Understanding of Web Technologies like HTTP, REST etc.
Well versed with Usability, Functional, System, Regression, Localization and Smoke/Sanity testing
Knowledge of Database concepts and query languages like SQL etc.
Good knowledge on repository services like Git, SVN, etc.
Knowledge of any one programming language, preferably Java.
Experience in in Agile project methodology
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated capability of analysing issues and getting to the root cause with precision and focus.
Desired skills
Experience in automation using open source tools like Selenium, Rest.
