In this role, you will:
Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving automation tests in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure
Work with different Stakeholders to understand product requirements & vision
Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards
Work with product line leaders and architects to develop extensible automation frameworks and test suites
Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse
Support process improvements which guide the development, testing, sustaining & support activities
Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables
Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products
Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness
Experience and Skillset:
Automation Test Engineer with 7-9 years of hands-on experience in test automation of front-end, back-end services and API automation (BDD, Jbehave, Cucumber, Java, RESTAssured, Selenium, Serenity)
Experience of Web UI Automation using Java in Selenium.
Experience to BDD/ TDD practices
Working knowledge in configuration management and defect management tools (ALM/Rally)
Prepare test execution plans, requirement trackers, etc. and own V&V phases and adherence to Software quality, defect metrics and code quality.
Solid understanding of agile development model and processes.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently with limited or no hand holding.
Ability to work with global teams, including time-zone flexibility.
Solid understanding of CI/CD/CT pipelines
Excellent knowledge with development tools & integrated build systems(Like Eclipse IDE, Git/Jenkins/Maven)
Knowledge of testing applications/automation on cloud is an added advantage
AWS Cloud certification.
