Role and responsibilities:
Data validation for Datalake - Datalake tables, Datalake- dashboard, dashboard- dashboard.
Taking ownership of QA deliverables on the project assigned
Authoring Test Plan, Test Estimates, Test Cases, Test Summary Report and testing artifacts based on the project requirements
Test Execution and Report on daily and weekly basis
Handling customer interactions daily.
Highlighting risks on time.
Identifying optimization and automation opportunities on a project.
Understand domain specific processes and ensure 100% compliance to all the guidelines.
Technical skills requirements
Strong experience in writing SQL queries
Experience in testing of ETL Mappings to extract data from multiple sources like Oracle, SQL Server, Flat files etc. into target tables using transformations like Expressions, Routers, Lookups, Source Qualifiers, Aggregators, Filters, and Joiners etc.
Experience in testing various projects in ETL environment
Experience in BI tools Power BI, Spotfire
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Well versed in using Test Case Management/Defect Management Tool-Test Link, JIRA, Zephyr etc.
Design and execute test cases, scripts in QA and UAT (functional, manual, and automated)
Adhere to processes to ensure the highest level of quality assurance possible
Nice-to-have skills
Candidate having Knowledge of domain of Pharma- Clinical, Commercial and Corporate experience will be a strong plus.
Experience in automated ETL Testing using shell/python or any other similar scripting language would be a strong plus.
Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive; Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills
Quick learner with motivation to learn new languages, technologies, and frameworks (you will get opportunity to play with a lot of new technologies)
Coordination with offshore team to ensure high quality deliverables and customer expectations
Experienced and passionate about writing test tools to improve test efficiency & productivity and exposure to automation tools
Required Qualifications
B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/ MS Degree from a good Institute.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a QA
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in writing SQL Queries
Proficient in ETL testing and comfortable writing complex SQL queries
Proficient in functional testing with a good database understanding
