Role and responsibilities
Building test plans, test suites, and manual or automated test cases for assigned changes.
Building up environments independently to test assigned work,
Executing manual and automated tests, Reporting the results.
Create accurate, thoughtful and comprehensive defect reports.
Investigate customer problems referred by technical support.
Engage and participate on an Agile team of a world-class software developers.
Apply independence and creativity to problem solving across project assignments.
Effectively communicate with team members, project managers and clients, as required.
Technical skills requirements
The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,
Good understanding and experience of various Test Frameworks & architectures.
Hand-on in testing Data Center Firewall with an integrated Layer 4 firewalls
Hand-on worked on Secure Web Gateway using SSL
Experience with testing on multiple Network Interface types copper, SFP, QSFP
Hand-on experience in configuring IPsec VPN tunnels.
Exposure with security and policy enforcement functions, Access control lists (ACLs) & DDoS Protection
Knowledge of Layer 4/Layer 7 server load balancing
Knowledge of Routing protocols – static routes, IS-IS (v4/v6), RIPv2/ng, OSPF v2/v3, BGP4+
Knowledge of hypervisor; for example, VMware, ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, and KVM.
Experience in software test planning, documentation and process improvement
Experience of Stress, Performance, System testing, Manual testing and Automation testing.
Familiarity with Linux (like) operating system. Nice-to-have skills
Good to have programming experience in Python/Perl/C
Experience with test instruments Spirent Avalanche (Spirent Test Center - STC)
Understanding of Network Security feature is a plus.
Understanding of Ansible to manage cloud VMs is a plus.
Exposure to Enterprise Networks Security, Network Appliances like Application Delivery Controllers (Load Balancers), Firewall solutions, Threat Protection Systems, CGN/LSN is a bonus. Private Clouds (OpenStack, VMware, Nutanix, Azure Stack)

Qualifications
3 to 6 years of work experience in systems or application development
B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer Science background is preferred.
