The candidate should be a Senior Test Engineer with a passion for both non-functional and functional testing in all its dimensions and possess a solid track record of manual testing, Test Automation, performance (tool agnostic), test planning, coordination, execution, data setup, reporting and test management.
Also good to have are other aspect of non-functional testing like fault-tolerance, failure-mode and DR testing knowledge and experience.
Good understanding of environment architecture.
The candidate would have a strong knowledge of DevOps and Agile delivery practices, as well as a disciplined approach to planning, execution and reporting.
The candidate will be expected to represent the specialist capacity to all the programmes within Perimeter Security, Network, Data Security & IAM vertical, design non-functional test strategies for project and application teams, engaging at the very beginning of projects or later in a project lifecycle to ensure that planning, scheduling and execution of non-functional test is properly conducted for the project.
While project teams will normally own detailed planning, authoring and execution activities, the Performance Testing Engineer will be expected to engage and even execute on complex projects, so a strong element of individual contribution is expected, and candidates must be prepared for and relish this.
The role will also require creation of a re-usable Performance testing model for each project which needs to be executed for every release.
The role will require on-going engagement with a broad constituency across the bank, dealing with teams' project, development and testing who are at varying stages of technology and test methodology adoption.
Strong time-management, negotiation and prioritisation skills for oneself and others is essential.
The ability to successfully communicate with senior management and business stakeholders is essential.
Our Ideal Candidate
ISTQB Foundation Certified - must
ISTQB Intermediate Certified – preferred
6+ years of experience in both manual and exposure to automation testing and lead activities
Proven hands on experience on Perimeter Security technology and tools like zScaler, Network Access Control, Browser Isolation, FireGlass, Menlo, Akamai, Perimeterx, F5 and Data Security technology and tools like CaaS, Hashicorp, PKI, Certificate Management etc.
General skills:
Established professional with 6 or more years working in the related testing life-cycles, execution and implementation.
Communicator with ability to coordinate, lead and influence direction and strategy of functional and non-functional (Performance) testing within Perimeter Security, Network, Data Security & IAM vertical.
Self-starter, capable of working without direction and able to deliver test projects from scratch.
Excellent problem analysis and resolution abilities.
Ability to write test plan, execution plans and Test Closure report for both functional and PT
Experience with Performance Testing tools like Load Runner, Performance Centre, J-meter etc.
Experience of coordination and manual (functional) test execution
Bachelor’s Degree Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields.
Strong communication, Interpersonal, Learning and organizing skills matched with the ability to manage stress, Time, and People effectively
Proven experience in co-ordination of many dependencies and multiple demanding stakeholders in a complex, large-scale deployment environment
Ability to manage a diverse and challenging stakeholder community
Experience on tools like JIRA and Confluence.
