To perform hands-on testing activities for projects and to follow industry standard testing best practices and innovations.
Job Description
Perform functional and non-functional testing for projects under test.
Participate in the requirement gathering exercises, sprint planning / grooming sessions to understand the requirements and achieve good functional test coverage.
Follow the defined process guidelines to ensure quality of the application under test.
Collaborate with the team and work towards achieving the release goals.
Look out for improving the processes followed there by bringing industry best practices and innovations in the testing performed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with the customer and the project team to understand the requirements.
Work with the BA team to convert the business requirements to user stories and acceptance criteria.
Create testing artifacts like Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Logs, Defects, Test Summary Report, etc.
Setup and coordinate defect triage meetings with the developers.
Perform test execution using test management tools.
Demo user stories during sprint demos.
Manage and mentor the testing team members in the project.
Raise quality risks in the project to the test lead / Project manager.

Highly motivated and self-starting, should have proactive approach to resolving issues and working with limited supervision.
