Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for different types of testing especially Functional & Manual Testing which would contribute to 60-70% of overall tasks, this includes but not limited to.
Interpret user stories, prepare testcases, execute testcases as well as prepare high quality testing documents.
Execute test cases to perform manual testing for several applications.
Responsible for creating test data using SQL.
Troubleshoot and debug errors (including analyzing server logs) to identify root cause and coordinate with respective teams for fixing and re-testing.
Participate in scrum meetings with global teams and share regular updates.
For existing as well as new applications contribute towards converting testcases into test scripts as well as assist in execution of automated suite.
Provide support for functional testing in weekends for the critical releases in Production.
Participate in API testing using existing tools / frameworks / create mock services to test APIs.
Candidate should be willing to contribute towards automation (using Java & Selenium) especially debugging for failures encountered in execution. This may contribute towards 30-40% or lesser depending on project priorities. Contribution towards development of automation framework can be medium to long term goal.
Flexible to learn new process / technologies as per the team need & expansion.
Qualification:
Candidate needs to have sound knowledge of any high-level programming language like Java, C#, C++.
Experience of 2-4 years in Automation-cum-Functional testing.
Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC and has aptitude to identify bugs and strong desire for Quality.
Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related discipline required.
Candidate should have good RDBMS and SQL knowledge.
Knowledge on Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools preferred.
Excellent Problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Candidate should possess Entrepreneurial mindset and should have CAN DO attitude.
Preferably based in Mumbai or willing to relocate to Mumbai.
