As a Software Engineer in Test, you will play a key role in the development and support of the company’s automation framework used to test the desktop and web applications which are used throughout the world.
This includes analysis, designing, developing, and supporting the framework.
Responsible for the creation of a new additional tests as per the enhancements in the product.
This senior role also requires the candidate to have a sound understanding of enterprise framework development standards and methodologies and demonstrated experience working with custom enterprise frameworks.
As a member of our geographically distributed technical team your communication and analytical skills are essential to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
UI and API Automation framework design and implementation according to project structure.
Develop and execute
a) manual exploratory tests and
b) automated tests for APIs and GUIs.
Selection or identification of functional and API test cases for automation from existing test case documentation.
Applying Designing and Test Automation Strategy Document.
Find solutions for issues related to object identity issues and error handling.
Working with functional test team and software developers to find solutions.
Framework development according to best practices as per industry standards.
Work closely with project automation team to ensure team attains continuous improvement
Required Knowledge & Skills:
3 - 5 years’ experience in various Selenium, Karate and API framework development/maintenance roles and proven experience working on Selenium(Java), RestAssured or Karate projects under an Agile /Scrum methodology and extensively used

Experience in doing peer reviews and code reviews.
Exposure to Source control like GIT.
Experience in CI/CD pipeline creation and exposure to its concepts.

Exposure to working with databases (PL/SQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
Exposure to performance test execution and analysis of performance test results would be a plus.
Experience with Payment systems would be advantage.
Understanding of Enterprise Frameworks, Release procedures, understanding of testing environments.
Demonstrated ability in communicating with business users and assessing their needs.
Demonstrated ability in providing solutions and working through the full automation life cycle.
Experience in progress reporting to management.
Time Management Skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Have the ability to provide constructive criticism in an inoffensive manner and be willing to help the team achieve the sprint goal.
