The Software Engineer in Test is a highly technical role in Networking Products validation and automation of test cases. The Candidate should be well versed with networking fundamentals L2/L3 protocols ,virtualization technologies and test frameworks & test automation.
Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To
Platforms features qualification
Design quality test plan based on Requirements
Building topology required for testing
Good analytical skills
Execute test cases and create automation scripts.
Provide weekly reports on progress
Desired Technology Knowledge On
Min of 2-4+ Yrs of experience
Advanced level of knowledge and practical hands on experience in Technologies : PFE packet forwarding, Policer, Firewall, L2/L3 Protocols, Routing system architecture awareness, Telemetry Sensor - OCST
Working knowledge of L3 protocols – OSPF, ISIS, BGP
Need to be well versed with traffic test equipment like Ixia, Spirent and also well versed in automation using IXIA / spirent
Advanced level of knowledge in automation design and automation preferably in Python, Robot framework
Experience/Qualification
BE/BTEC/ME/MTEC from reputed university/college
2-4+ year of experience in networking products qualification
Certifications in networking like JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP or equivalent will be an added advantage
