The Senior QA Engineer will be part of this exciting development and will be working with a strong technical team that has experience delivering the solutions to large carriers. Participate in building a High end firewall platform for data centers/Carriers that provides high throughput packet processing to the service provider using latest networking technologies.
Position Overview
Execute functional/performance testing on products using a combination of manual and auto-testing techniques
Focus on high-end firewall product test
Create, maintain and execute test specifications and test cases as well as scripting
Reproduce, identify, document and track software/hardware defects found during testing
Work closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly identified/reproduced and fixed
Passionate, motivated and always willing to learn and explore new technologies
A good team player
Experience Required:
5+ years hand-on experiences in QA testing or Technical supporting of Networking/firewall features at system level
Strong understanding of test methodologies
Deep understanding of test strategy and test planning
Solid Understanding of routing and switching technologies such as STP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, IPv4, IPv6
Solid Understanding of security technologies like firewall, IDS/IPS, etc.
Demonstrated knowledge and trouble-shooting experience on most used techniques or networking protocols, Routing protocols, MPLS VPN, DoS, IPSec VPN, Radius, network sniffers (Ex. Wireshark), packet replay, IPv6, HA, STP, vSphere, Linux etc.
Proficiency in Python programming
Hands-on experience writing and executing test automation
Experience in handling customer issues efficiently and effectively
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software logically and analytically
Experience in using Spirent or Ixia traffic generator is a plus
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus
Have an advanced networking certification such as CCNP, CCIE, etc. is a plus
Ability to work in collaborative environment and communicate well with other departments
Ability to work on assigned tasks under tight time constraints
