The Lead Test Engineer provides and ensures the overall assurance on the quality of Epiq’s enterprise product, Epiq Discovery, by implementing overall test coverage and adhering to the best practices in automation and manual testing processes.
Job Responsibilities
Identify and automate test cases to improve the automation coverage.
Ensure failed automation test cases are promptly corrected/addressed.
Test all Epiq Discovery components and modules with a high degree of efficiency.
Write manual test cases for new enhancements and subsequently automate them.
Ensure overall application test coverage.
Work closely with software engineers, business analysts, and quality assurance analysts to triage reported software issues.
Analyze application logs and investigate root cause for reported issues.
Build database queries to investigate data related issues.
Execute both automation and manual test cases and record the test outcomes in a detailed manner.
Keep repositories and test practices up to date with the latest industry developments.
Design and develop automation testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks.
Work with a strong sense of urgency and motivate team to meet or beat goals.
Provide leadership to one or more scrum teams.
Own product development issues such as datacenter deployments or third-party upgrades.
Qualifications and Skills
7-9 years of experience in QA
Understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Strong functional testing knowledge and concepts.
Familiar with Database access using tools to review test results.
Should have medium to advanced SQL skills.
Experience working with Selenium web driver, either with C#, Java or Python as big plus.
Should have high-level cloud platform knowledge either on AWS or Azure.
Should have the ability to learn new things naturally by curiosity and interest
Experience in preparing detailed test cases, executing them and reporting defects.
Should have experience working in Agile-Scrum process.
Knowledge on tools such as Azure Devops (formerly VSTS), Jenkins or similar, preferred.
Experience working with Git.
Experience on API testing is not mandatory, but good to have.
Experience on Performance testing is a big plus.
Good communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work separate issues in a fast paced & dynamic company environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited direction or as part of a team.
High energy, proactive and approachable personality who enjoys solving a diverse set of problems.
Proven problem-solving abilities and creative thinking.
Have an attention to detail.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering streams.
