Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases.
Execute test cases and document test results.
Conduct functional, regression, performance, and other types of testing.
Identify, document, and prioritize software defects and issues.
Work closely with developers to investigate, debug, and resolve reported issues.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts to enhance test efficiency.
Execute and maintain automated test suites.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Participate in regular team meetings to discuss project status and issues.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance overall software development and testing processes.
Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing.
Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Open to learn from each other in the team and each experience day-to-day.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Software Quality Engineer or a similar role.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ready to work in flexible working hours when required.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Skills:
Have at least 2 years of experience in testing application written in two or more languages/framework like Python, Java, C#, Angular or React.
Understanding of test framework using Selenium, JMeter and postman is desirable.
Experience in testing relatively complex DB queries (any relational DB) is desirable.
Experience in testing RESTful APIs using Python and web frameworks such as Flask is desirable.
Understanding of any of the ORM tools like SQLAlchemy, Django is desirable.
Working knowledge on cloud services of AWS (or Azure) is highly desirable.
Understanding of applications built with containerization like Docker is nice to have.
Skillful in writing high-quality, well-articulated test cases and test automation.
Comfortable with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban
Key competencies required: Problem-Solving, Analytical, Collaboration, and Accountability
Experience with Agile/Scrum, Kanban methodologies.
Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments.
Relevant certifications in software testing are nice to have.
