Software Quality Engineering (SQE) Manager is responsible for strategic and tactical execution of Test Engineering activities, delivering high-quality software solutions, and developing, supporting, and growing a highly engaged diverse, and inclusive team.
Specific tasks include, but not limited to:
Delegate and coordinates activities of the testing team to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Create, assign, review & provide periodic feedback on Individual Impact Goals/objectives to assigned testing teams.
Recruit and develop Test Engineering team.
Ensures compliance with standards and regulations, including ISO Quality Management System.
Active participation in the testing cycle of the software development lifecycle using Agile Methodology.
Participate in all phases of software solution development as needed such as reviewing requirements, specifications, test strategy, risk assessment, and defects reporting.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other test engineers.
Accountable for maintaining a high degree of Test solution architecture and Test Automation framework design capability with deep technical skills preferably in Microsoft Technologies.
Responsible for tracking organization project execution metrics that help gauge the performance/efficiency of the team/products/process.
Identifies plans and executes test process improvements as a part of continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain proficiency in the use of testing tools and methodologies.
Collaborate and maintain excellent working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
Effectively communicate and present findings, problems, and solutions within the team, organization.
Skill Set Required:
Proven leadership skills and mentoring capabilities. Have strong experience in managing 10 -15 members team.
Have practiced and a strong belief in servant leadership.
Experience developing in-house test capabilities to support quicker testing turnaround times
Flexible to deliver engagements as a test lead, individual contributor, and technical subject matter expert for large complex engagements.
Possess good knowledge about Core Automation & Manual Testing Concepts.
Technical Expertise in database testing concepts preferably using MySQL.
Has worked on Effort Estimation, Scheduling, Risk Management tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, and able to communicate very technical subject matter to non-technical users.
Experience in creating test metrics and their demonstrations to senior management.
Experience in HL7/healthcare domain will be advantageous.
