Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:
Work with Test Lead / Test Manager to create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test strategy and plan.
Preparation of scenarios, cases and data to manually test user interface and APIs of web and mobile applications for functional and non-functional elements.
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs to closure, where required by retesting the fixes provided for defects raised.
Perform thorough regression testing when retesting fixes for defects raised or when testing code for enhancements.
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools to test API and UI for web and mobile applications.
Raise PR to move test automation code to local or client environments.

Mandatory Skills:
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes. 
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans, test scenarios and test cases.  
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.  
Hands-on experience of testing mobile applications and / or web applications and / or APIs.
Hands-on experience with testing tools like Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, Postman etc.
Hands-on experience in developing test automation suites for mobile and web applications and API testing.
Hands-on experience in developing test suites using test automation frameworks like Karate, RestAssured, Selenium etc.
Solid knowledge of backend (server) testing techniques as well as frontend app driven testing.  
Intermediate level skill and experience of using at least one programming language (Java or Python).
Knowledge of server-side technologies.
Working in an Agile/Scrum development process. 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.

Desired Skills:
Understanding of JIRA or equivalent test management tool.
Knowledge of GIT, Jenkins, Dockers, Kubernetes preferable but no essential.
Performance testing using jMeter.
Knowledge of AWS and / or GCP desirable but not mandatory.
