The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for validating and verifying that a software product or application against the specifications. The holder of this position will be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment by conducting automated and manual tests to identify even the smallest flaw in software designs. The Key tasks are designing test protocols, complete all testing procedures, suggesting performance changes, and prepare test reports.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks:
Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios
Interacting with Product owners, software architects, developers to understand product requirements and functionality
Analysing test results on database impacts, defects, and usability
Creation and Maintenance of traceability matrix
Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems
Creation and execution of functional, system integration (end-to-end), regression and non-functional tests
Work with our multicultural teams building great products and features, creating automated tests and practices, while performing testing related activities
Support and improve our tools for continuous integration, automated testing and release management
Maintain the regression test and sanity test to push new releases to production
Using appropriate test design techniques and skills to ensure adequate and appropriate testing coverage
Documenting defects and preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing
Qualification & Skills:
Technical degree or equivalent
Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in testing industrial or medical embedded devices and software
Good understanding of software lifecycle models including Agile and V-model
Excellent methodological knowledge covering different test design techniques
Know how on Ranorex automation tool is an advantage
Knowledge of automation systems like Siemens PLC and WinCCOA is an advantage
A flexible, pro-active mindset with an emphasis on quality and passion for automated testing
Fluent in English
