We are currently seeking a skilled Software Tester to join our team and ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for performing manual testing, writing test cases, and collaborating with the development team to identify and address software defects. Experience in automated testing is considered a plus as it will contribute to the efficiency and scalability of our testing processes.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough manual testing of our software products to identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues.
Collaborate closely with the development team to understand software requirements and provide input on testability aspects during the design and development phases.
Develop and execute comprehensive test cases, test plans, and test scripts to validate software functionalities and ensure product quality.
Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using bug tracking systems.
Work closely with the development team to provide detailed defect reports, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and debug defects, and verify fixes in a timely manner.
Participate in design and code reviews to provide input on testability, usability, and quality aspects of the software.
Continuously enhance and maintain the test case repository, ensuring its accuracy and relevance.
Contribute to the development and implementation of automated testing frameworks and test scripts, leveraging industry-standard tools.
Execute and maintain automated test suites, analyze results, and report on test coverage and test execution metrics.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other stakeholders, to ensure software quality and timely product releases.
Requirements:
Proven experience working as a Software Tester, performing manual testing and writing test cases.
Strong knowledge and understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Proficiency in developing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Experience with bug tracking systems and the ability to effectively document and track software defects.
Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) is a plus.
Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) is desirable.
Understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile development methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
ISTQB certification or similar software testing certifications are a plus.
