• Support functional (Smoke, Sanity, Integration, System and Regression testing) and non-functional testing (stress, performance/load, and security testing) with test data and automation as needed
• Interact with product owners, development teams and testers to develop a strong understanding of the project and product testing objectives
• Application of test design concepts to derive functional and performance test cases in JIRA
• Execution of tests, Review and\or validate fixes and defect tracking in JIRA.
• Verification of software, Firmware and hardware interoperability for supported platforms.
• Review and refactor existing tests and provide suggestions to improve the quality and efficiency of the test
• Communicate test results and highlight potential quality risks
• Ensure test design is traceable to requirements, user stories or existing manual tests and achieves a high level of requirement/test coverage
• Partner with development team to debug defects early in life cycle.
• Perform Root cause analysis for Beta or production defects
• Follow and support Engineering processes with an emphasis on Kaizen
Domain (Preferred Industry) – Retail Point of Sale/Payments/Embedded
• Experience in design and implementation of validation procedures, test plans, and test cases.
• Experience in developing, writing and managing the execution of an overall software test strategy
• Experience in Test/Defect Management Tools – Preferred - JIRA
• Experience in Embedded product testing or Payment platform testing is a plus
• Experience working as part of an agile SCRUM project team
• Excellent computer skills (Windows, Excel, Outlook, etc)
