Qualifications:
An engineering bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication
1-3 years of relevant experience in System testing for the embedded domain with strong Python programming knowledge.
Summary:
The Test Engineer will interact with project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives. You will design and create test conditions, procedures, methods & tools/scripts for verification/validation of the company's products.
Test engineer is also responsible to work closely with Automation lead in creating Test Automation frame works, setups and work on different test automation tests to achieve automation targets.
Required Competencies
Experience in the Embedded Systems preferably functional and performance testing involving firmware and software.
Experience in different types of testing such as Load, Stress, performance, Testing
Solid understanding of the STLC, SDLC
Demonstrates ability in reporting Defects identified during testing, along with Creating Defects within Tools. Designs and develops usability Testing scenarios (Proficient in designing Test suites)
Excellent communication and written skills
Good system level debugging skills are an advantage.
Strong Python programming skills
Good to have: Mobile Automation (using appium)
Duties and responsibilities
Expected to work under own initiative, prioritize own work, and meet agreed timescales.
Demonstrates proficiency in Test Competencies processes and reporting Defects identified during testing, along with Creating Defects within Tools. Designs and develops usability Testing scenarios (Proficient in designing Test suites) and communicating issues to stakeholders.
Develops working knowledge of product family in assigned area, with awareness of system design.
Ability to collaborate and work with a within team and Cross Functional Team.
Ability to solve problems and work with others to resolve problems.
Periodic customer contact. May participate in customer presentations.
Strong python programming
Able to create automation framework using python with minimum guidance, debugging skills and strong understanding of the programming best practices.
