As an Embedded System Test Engineer for Safety System (such as: ABS/ESP/iBooster/IPB), your main responsibilities are:
Setting up of Test environment, Test planning, Test design, Test Execution, Defect reporting, Test status reporting & Test closure activities
Analyse the requirements, apply the appropriate test design techniques and guidelines to prepare the required test specifications and execute test cases with respect to requirements
Ensure that the test specification is up to date as per the change request and establish bidirectional traceability and consistency between change request and the test specification
Initiate the review and ensures completion and if required get involved in the peer reviews, fix the review findings if any
Baselines the test specification as per the configuration management strategy and tool
Perform Regression Tests on new Software Releases & report discrepancies
Support Test Manager/Architect for creating the Overall Test summary report and highlight the risk due to defects found
Qualifications
Major in Electronics & Communication Engineering/Mechatronics Engineering/Automotive Engineering/Computer Engineering/Information Technology or related fields
Have 3-5 years of experience in Software Testing
Good knowledge of Micro-controllers and Embedded system
Should have passion and motivation to build career in Test System/Automotive domain
Previous exposure on closed & open loop test systems (HIL/SIL) is desired
Knowledge about toolchain of CC-AS Test System is an advantage
Familiar with software development tool chain like ALM, DOORS, HP Quality Center or equivalent tools
Scripting languages like PERL, Python etc.
AUTOSAR knowhow
Vector tools like CANOE, CANALYZER etc.
MATLAB and Simulink models
