Job Description

Objective Of This Role:
Leads a team of test engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the product lifecycle. Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies. Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Requirement Feasibility - To understand the requirement at system level for verification and validation against Software as well as Hardware and raise flag in case of any gap/risk involved in a timely manner to the required stakeholders.
Test Management - Create Test Scope, Test Plan and Strategy by setting the test entry/exit criteria, parameters, scope/out-scope of testing. Ensure testing all aspects of the product/system including function/component, system, performance, regression and service.
Test Planning & Control: Ensuring the requirement coverage, test coverage, test cases are peer reviewed and achieving less rework. Monitor & Plan Test Design/Execution activities, tracking work assigned to test team, Identify the impact area of new features/bugs/release content by collaborating with development team and derive test efforts. Optimize resource allocation in case of unplanned activities but are critical/priority tasks, so that the task can be achieved within expected timeline
Defect Management: Detect/Report bug/issues, prepare defect reports and report test progress in a timely manner. Ensure the test defects raised are as per the norm defined for project / program / account with clear description and replication patterns.
Communication Reporting – Test design, execution report, maintain end to end traceability matrix and relevant dashboard updates in Test management repository. and timely release of test status dashboard at the end of every test cycle (Daily Report, Weekly reports and Closure reports) to the stake holder.
Process Excellence - Ability to apply and follow the best practices & testing standards and norms to validate the product requirements & produce consistent results, provide effective control and reduction of risk and share mitigation plan.
Collaboration & Coordination – Coordinate within the team & other teams like System Engineering, R&D, global Support team to resolve problems and improve overall system.
Critical & Analytical Thinking - Bring along creativity, logical-structured thinking, decision-making ability and a good portion of technical curiosity. Independent, target-oriented and customer focused way of working. Analyze the data, logs and conclude on the results. Analytical skills and attention to details and a strong test aptitude. Ability to work in a team as well as an individual contributor, Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
Leveraging Technology – Knowledge of current and upcoming technology (test management tools and systems) to build efficiencies and effectiveness in own function.

Technical know-how:
Mandatory
- Functional/Non-functional testing, different testing techniques, Regression, Sanity, Ad-hoc testing etc.
- Must have knowledge of Bank Note Processing systems (C2/C5) and its core functionality.
- Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, UI/UX, application dev/testing, Product life cycle
- Hands on experience in Agile Methodology, Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD.
- Understanding of HW & SW Interaction and have experience in Product testing.
- Understanding of SW/HW development life cycle Process.
- Basics in embedded system/software, SW-HW interaction, Mechatronics.
- MS OFFICE (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.)

Good to know
- Any programming language( C/C++, Selenium), Communication Protocols, JIRA, TFS, Azure, ALM.
- Soldering, Multimeter etc.Soft Skills: (Inputs on soft skills required for role, like team management, communication, customer management etc)

Education & Trainings: (Basic & Professional)
B.Tech or Equivalent Degree (Computers/Electronics/Mechanical)
Experience (in yrs.) Total 6 - 8 Years
Relevant (Experience in related field, industry, products etc) - 6 years
