As a Lead Test Automation engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating test automation framework for sophisticated systems and software for the latest home automation Comfort & Security related IOT devices. You will use your experience in test planning, execution and provide technical expertise to implement quality software in mobile and web which enable millions of end users (homeowners) to command and control their home or business from anywhere, anytime on any mobile devices; Control and manage the smart home devices like thermostats, cameras, sensors, water value actuators and more while maintaining top most quality of the cloud infrastructure and applications.
Job Duties
Working with POs and other dev leads to understand the requirements and derive test strategy for complex features and provide QA estimates for the tasks
Design and develop test automation scripts for the customer facing applications which supports Resideo products and services.
Should be creating frameworks and maintain it with the help of deployment and version control tools integrated with defect analysis portals
Work within the Agile scrum teams along with development team to build the quality and should be able to design test strategy at integration level using automated integration testing.
Develop Acceptance Criteria and test cases for features and verifying the product against acceptance criteria including compatibility, localization etc
Develop automation scripts for stories during development & executes them to reduce cycle time and improve quality.
Shall follow the test processes & speak for Quality at the right forums & discussions.
Shall be able to implement parallel test execution process driven by re-usable test automation.
Shall be able to implement and demonstrate test strategy using data mocking, service virtualization, device virtualization.
Shall be responsible for multiple technical assignments and drive independently.
Support planned or unplanned releases and/or upgrades on various applications and cloud infrastructure hosting them by creating test strategy and executing tests within the schedule.
You Must Have
Bachelor/Master's degree in engineering (Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communications or its equivalent)
5 to 8 years of experience in mobile/web Test Automation
Expertise in test automation for flutter-based iOS and Android mobile Apps
Expertise in using Test Automation tools like Selenium / Appium with Java and/or C#.
Shall be able to create and maintain Test Automation Frameworks, Test scripts for API and mobile applications in BDD / Test driven development.
Strong hands-on experience in testing Cloud applications & microservices deployment
Shall be able to drive single code-based automation for mobile and web application to support different platforms.
Strong in analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to technically own and drive test projects with a limited level of direct supervision
Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.
Can quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts.
We Value
Experience in IOT or embedded technologies or using hardware in testing the software will be an added advantage.
Knowledge on GraphQL, NoSQL databases and exposure to testing cloud applications.
Prior experience in working with CI/CD, Jenkins and cloud base tools like Sauce-labs
Experience in Agile / SCRUM based testing.
Exposure to working in a scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment working with teams spread across geographies.
Should be a good team player and able to communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
Ability to influence others and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
