Seeking a creative, open-minded QA Engineer to perform manual and automated testing of financial software. Responsible for the execution of all Quality Assurance testing objectives.
Requirements:
Software Quality Assurance & Testing
Ability to identify testable statements contained in requirements and specification documents, and devise and run appropriate tests
Participate in the overall planning and execution of QA Team testing objectives
Responsible for the creation of test cases and design steps and any associated defects related to QA assignments
Manual testing of separate services and integration
Design and develop automated tests with special instruments.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; as well as define problems, and develop methods to resolve them in a timely manner
Ensure all QA control functions are completely and consistently executed
QA standards and quality
Play a role of in advancing and supporting the Broadridge Software Quality Assurance Standards
Ability to use sound reasoning to identify root causes of problems and production incidents related to QA assignments
Work with peers and management to develop process standards and/or enhancements to prevent re-occurrence of QA related issues
Strategic Development and Partnership
Partner with peers, management, senior managers, internal and external business users to identify, gather, and understand their goals and to formulate strategies to support them, while prioritizing requests and staying within deadlines.
Work collaboratively with team to create and share technology vision on an ongoing basis.
Qualifications:
Experience in testing and quality assurance, both manual and automated approaches
Strong programming skills in any programming languages
Experience with any bug tracking system
Good analytical skills in assessing business, functional and technical requirements
Good problem solving, troubleshooting and communication skills
Good written and spoken English
Preferable:
Basic understanding of SQL
Experience in Agile development methodologies
Experience with Octopus
A good understanding of financial industry or services
The candidate should be able to work independently or in a cross-functional team in multitasking and dynamic environment.
