This position is responsible for technically leading the embedded testing of smart home control applications and mobile applications system for Residential market. You will use your testing expertise both manual and automation and product understanding to enable end to end test suites and develop robust embedded automation setup and voice out quality concerns and make sure to provide high quality products and applications to our customers.
JOB DUTIES:
Get involved in requirements understanding, converting requirements into effective test cases.
Lead and develop detailed test design for critical features of embedded product and update existing test design based on product understanding.
Shall be responsible for manual and automation test environment setup and manual and automation execution of functional & Use case scenarios at product and system level.
Understanding of different embedded test methodologies, device programming, defect cycle and defect reproduction and analysis.
Should have good understanding of test processes, SDLC/STLC.
Practical experience in embedded device automation methods, tools, and technologies.
Motivated with willingness to take ownership/responsibility for their work and ability to work in Global team environment.
Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with flexibility to learn new domain and technologies.
Work closely with system test team along with cross functional teams (development, mobile app, cloud) for better understanding of system to be tested and contribute to quality for products tested.
YOU MUST HAVE:
Minimum 6-8 years of experience in manual and automation testing of connected embedded controls, firmware functional testing, I/O testing.
Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Computer Science/Electrical/Instrumentation engineering.
Exposure to embedded product architecture and C/C++ based embedded test automation frameworks.
Expertise in manual test design, use cases development, test execution and defect reporting.
Should have exposure to manual testing experience in App & Cloud based applications.
WE VALUE:
Home automation controls and smart home apps background is preferable.
Knowledge on Java programming would be an added advantage.
Individual who is self-motivated and proactively take actions to get things done.
Understanding of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) domain/products is preferred.
