The purpose and function of the BI / Data Test Analyst role is to validate data based solutions against the business requirements and ensure a high quality outcome is produced.
Responsibilities
• Working within the bank's test and governance framework
• Analysing requirements to prepare test plans
• Create and execute test cases
• Report on defects and the testing status
• Creating Test summary reports.
• Testing include ETL, Data acquisition from files and streaming data on Azure and / or SQL server
• Mentoring new test team members
Skills
Must have
• 4 to 8 years in a similar role.
• Bachelor Degree in IT, Business, Computer Science or similar desirable
• Strong SQL Skills is essential
• Strong Analytical skills
• Experienced in testing Waterfall & Agile development projects
• ETL testing
• API testing
• Automated testing
• Cloud environment (Azure is preferable)
• Familiar with best Practices of Release / Environment management
• Ability to work independently and part of a team
• Self-motivated
• Strong communication skills on both technical and Business levels.
• Wiling to learn and adapt to dynamic environments
Nice to have
• ISTQB Certification is desirable
• Python skills is desirable (Cloud Platform)
• Finance industry experience highly desirable
• Test Automation
