Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop strategic plans for testing efforts
Create test estimates and define/build reusable testing assets for large/complex projects
Develop and implement test automation frameworks
Provide technical leadership and support the creation of complex tests
Advise the customer on innovative testing products and solutions
Define and administer standard testing architecture methodologies, processes and tools across all engagements
Improve quality practices across functional and non-functional testing
Delivery of complex test programmes
Support the strategic direction of our Continuous Testing & Assurance Practice
A strong network and the ability to initiate and maximise new business opportunities
Work on building strong and effective relationships with clients
Demonstrate business development experience
Working on RFPs & mining for new opportunities by pitching technical innovation and quality solutions.
Have experience in manual testing on Linux based platform, should have capability to deploy and test on Virtual Machine and K8 environment provided by Azure, AWS, Tanzu.
Tester should have understanding on test deployment on K8 environment, understanding of integration with Cloud platform capability will bring added advantage.
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
Experience in setting up a test framework from scratch and improving existing frameworks to be more efficient and effective
Experience in defining and implementing test processes in the organization across multiple projects
Preliminary exposure and experience in telecom domain and protocols like Diameter, Radius, SOAP/HTTP, SMPP , Web Services, HTTP Rest architecture etc. gives an added advantage.
Experience in Software Product/Solution testing (functional, system and performance) in Linux environment and not on Windows.
Experience in product testing with tools like Seagull, J-Meter, SOAP UI etc (Selenium, Load Runner, UI automation tools not desired.)
Working knowledge of databases like Oracle, MySQL, VoltDb, Oracle Timesten is desired
Experience in performance and load testing of APIs and interfaces is desired but not looking for GUI based load/ performance testing candidates.
Knowledge/Willingness on Virtualization and Containerization technologies (Docker & Kubernetes) is a very added advantage – We are actively looking for candidates who have exposure on test deployment in K8 setups provided by PaaS platform
Experience of identifying the appropriate techniques, tools and guidelines to implement the required tests and to give guidance on the corresponding resources requirements for the test effort
Experience of leading multiple release cycles
Must understand technologies such as web servers, application servers, databases (SQL & Oracle)
Must have strong understanding of scripting/programming/computer architecture with proven experience in at least one language like Java, Javascript.
Possess a track record of successful managing highly complex test programmes on schedule, to budget and quality standards
Experience of the full software project lifecycle (waterfall, agile, DevOps) and a technical appreciation of IT systems and solutions.
Good Understanding of Design patterns and principals in building Test Solutions.
Expertise in working on UI automation tools like but not limited to Selenium, TestNG, WebdriverIO, Playwright, etc.
Expertise in working on mobile and desktop application testing with knowledge of automation using tools such as Appium, WebdriverIO, perfecto, Winnium, etc.
Expertise in working on API testing and automation tools such as but not limited to Postman, Karate API, Rest-Assured, etc.
Expertise in working on Performance Testing with experience with tools such as JMeter, Gatling or Load Runner.
Understanding of Big data Analytics pipelines including data ingestion models, data lakes and storage on data warehouses.
Knowledge on CI CD pipelines and build tools such as Jenkins, Azure Devops, Maven.
Good understanding in databases, SQL.
Knowledge of cloud-based integrations such as AWS EC2, Azure VM's, S3, etc
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Proven experience in managing test tools and environments to support test programmes
Has delivered test maturity assessments, providing and successfully implementing an improvements plan
Good communication in English (oral & written) & Interpersonal skills. Customer focus - ability to build and develop customer & supplier relationships
