Responsibilities:
Test Script Development:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and JavaScript for testing various components of our media-related software applications.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure comprehensive test coverage and identify areas for improvement.
Media Generation:
Work on media generation processes to simulate real-world scenarios and ensure the robustness of our applications in diverse environments.
Utilize tools like FFMPEG, GPAC, and MPEG tools to enhance media processing capabilities.
Tool Expertise:
Demonstrate proficiency in working with FFMPEG, GPAC, and other MPEG tools to manipulate, analyse, and optimize media content.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to continuously improve media processing capabilities.
Testing and Reporting:
Execute test cases, analyze results, and generate comprehensive reports using Jira.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to communicate and address issues efficiently.
Integration with CI/CD:
Integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins to ensure continuous testing and deployment.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline and automate testing processes.
Broadcast & Broadband Industry:
Gain a deep understanding of the Broadcast & Broadband industry's technical requirements.
Apply industry-specific knowledge to design and implement effective test strategies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience in test automation using Python and JavaScript.
Familiarity with media generation and manipulation tools such as FFMPEG, GPAC, and MPEG tools.
Experience in working with Jira for test case management and reporting.
Knowledge of Jenkins for CI/CD integration.
Understanding of the Broadcast & Broadband industry and its technical challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
