We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Migration Test Engineer to ensure the successful migration of our infrastructure to cloud platforms. The Test Engineer will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, validating cloud infrastructure components, and ensuring a seamless transition to the cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Strategy:
Develop test strategies and test plans for validating the migration of on-premises infrastructure to cloud platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements.
Test Execution:
Perform testing on cloud infrastructure components, including virtual machines, networking configurations, storage solutions, and security settings.
Execute test cases to verify the functionality, performance, and security of cloud-based resources.
Automated Testing:
Create and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate testing tools or scripting languages.
Implement automated testing frameworks to streamline testing processes.
Performance Testing:
Conduct load and performance testing to assess the scalability and performance of cloud resources.
Identify performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for optimization.
Security Testing:
Evaluate the security posture of cloud resources, conducting penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
Ensure compliance with security best practices and standards.
Data Migration Testing:
Validate data migration processes, ensuring data integrity and consistency during the migration.
Perform data recovery and backup tests to mitigate data loss risks.
Test Reporting:
Document and report test results, including defects and issues, to the relevant teams.
Maintain clear and comprehensive test documentation.
Issue Resolution:
Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to resolve identified issues and ensure a successful migration.
Follow up on issue resolution and retesting as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in test process improvements and the adoption of best practices.
Share feedback and suggestions for optimizing cloud migration testing procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a Test Engineer, with a focus on cloud infrastructure migration testing.
Strong understanding of cloud technologies, including AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud providers.
Proficiency in automated testing tools and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, Python, Terraform).
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and security testing tools (e.g., Nessus, Burp Suite).
Familiarity with data migration strategies and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
