Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing the work of a Test Engineering Team for Core Electronics (CE) products.
Overseeing and facilitating design and development of test environments and procedures for CE products in a fast-paced environment
Responsible for recruitment, training, growth of team members, mentoring and building highly capable teams
Accountable for estimation of test engineering efforts and execution of commitments with personal hands-on participation as necessary
Ensure Cybersecurity compliance across multiple products
Support and enhance the entire Test Engineering life cycle and management best practices
Support root cause analysis and develop solutions as necessary
Plan and lead the automation of module, system and regression level testing on various software modules and systems
Ensure adherence to engineering processes, standards, and best practices
Develop and execute plans, schedules for test engineering tasks/ activities for R&D and product development projects
Monitor and communicate project status, issues, and mitigation actions to upper management as appropriate
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
BS degree in a technical discipline and minimum 7 years of engineering or quality assurance experience
Experience in software requirements review, analysis, decomposition, traceability, verification, and validation
Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies such as Scrum in an embedded software environment
Experience with operating systems like Linux, QNX, FreeRTOS, etc.
Solid experience with software configuration and change management
Hands on experience testing/debugging software, firmware, and electronic control systems
Prior experience in embedded software test automation
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and TDD in an embedded environment
Experience working directly with customers and managing customer issue escalation.
Experience in Python and/ or other scripting/ programming tools
Knowledge in testing hardware and/ or embedded software specific to Rail Industry
Able to navigate accountability in a cross-functional organization
Demonstrated ability to lead programs/ projects
