Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for Functional Testing, review Regression testing, System Integration testing, User acceptance testing, Database Testing, API Testing for Workplace Investing team.
Accountable for testing of apps covering the functional and automation aspects.
Handling Day to Day activities of executing Test scripts and Test data preparation.
Ensuring 100% Test Coverage and quality of Test scripts/Scenarios.
Conduct detailed defect analysis after each testing phase to analyse correct root cause of defects.
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing standards, process, procedure and methodology.
Manage testing of key large scale deliveries, reporting readiness, progress, and quality metrics to the Workplace Investing management team.
Design and implement reusable automated test frameworks to drive test automation goals and to support continuous integration and regression testing
Utilize and extend existing test automation test harnesses
Integrate with DevOps teams for CI/CD to support them with writing code/tests and promote best practices
Plan, track and estimate product testing activities evaluate and learn new technologies
Experience and Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech. or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a reputed University
5-7 years of relevant industry experience
Essential Skills
7+ years of experience in Functional testing, Data base, API and Automation testing including the automation tools-Selenium (Selenium Web Driver), TestNg, Eclipse, and preparation of automation test framework.
Core Java should have experience in tools like TestNG, Junit, Maven etc.
Experience in UI Automation using JAVA-Selenium
Experience in behaviour driven development using tools like Gauge/Cucumber
PL/SQL skills, able to read stored procedures complex query writing, arithmetic function, aggregate functions
Database testing
Sound knowledge of finance domain
B.E./B.Tech/MBA/M.C.A/Any other bachelor’s Degree.
Experience in testing web based applications and automating web services.
Proven record of achievements in testing teams.
Knowledge of Agile software development life-cycle methodologies.
Strong automation concepts and proven experience on multiple automation tools preferably Selenium.
Hands on experience in Version Control Software: SVN / GIT / Clear case etc.
Thorough understanding of test principles such as unit, smoke, functional (black box/white box), user acceptance and usability testing.
Ability to estimate and present ROI calculation for automation initiatives.
Ability to accurately log defects, escalate issues and risks and provide accurate management reporting.
Experience of working in tight deadlines in a mature ‘time-boxed’ testing environment
Be able to demonstrate consistent and good judgement of assessing severity of issues.
Understanding of multi-tiered technology architecture / web, client server technologies.
