Job Description

As a Test Lead, he/she should be responsible to work with business analysts, Software Engineers, Architects, business users for Release being implemented. Test Lead will be responsible for understand the requirements and creates the test strategy/plan. Perform analysis/review the test cases and identify/prioritize the ones which can be executed based on the business need. Test leaders tend to be involved in the planning, monitoring, and control of the testing activities and tasks. Prepare any risk mitigation plans in case there are any delays are foreseen. Health care domain knowledge is an added advantage.

Other responsibilities:

Is responsible to handle the small team and should be able to resolve issues within the team

Should have excellent troubleshooting skills

Exceptional problem-solving skills, good communicator and strong influencing skills

Manage Testing Scope, SLAs (if any), Performance Metrics, Communication, Risk & Issues etc.,

Review and analyze the project requirements

Create the test schedule (tasks, dependencies and assigned team members)

Identify the training requirements of the Software Test Engineers, Plan and organize the knowledge transfer to the Software Test Engineers and self.

Design the required test strategy in line with the scope and organization standards

Skill set required:

6-8 years of Experience in Manual Testing extensively worked on Agile Methodology.

Expertise in SQL, functions, procedures

Expertise in FACETS, QNxt

Expertise in Healthcare – Medicaid

To identify the scope of the testing required for a particular release based on the requirements document.

Experience in an Agile/ SCRUM development environment/process

At the outset of the project, test leaders, in collaboration with the other stakeholders, devise the test objectives, organizational test policies, test strategies and test plans.

Understand End to End Business Scenarios

Understand Software Test Life Cycle and associated Processes

Hold meetings within the test team to make sure everyone is aware of what the fellow team members are doing.

Generate Test Reports for specific test cycles.

Interact with Testing Team and other Stakeholders when required

Interact with customers /SME’s/Stakeholders for Demo/Presentation as needed.

Coordinate with Automation team and help in identifying the test cases which can be automated, and which cannot be automated.

May consult with other groups – e.g., programmers – to help them with their testing.

Lead, guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test cases, test procedures and test suites.

Ensure proper configuration management of the test ware produced and traceability of the tests to the test basis.

Ensure that each team member is optimally occupied with work (i.e. each Software Test Engineer should not be too overloaded or too idle)

As test execution comes near, they make sure the test environment is put into place before test execution and managed during test execution.

Schedule the tests for execution and then they monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions.

During test execution and as the project winds down, they write summary reports on test status.

Generate Test Reports for specific test cycles/sprints, Consolidate and report test results to the concerned stakeholders

Perform the review of the defects and ensure that the proper defect guidelines are followed as agreed upon with the client.

Should have excellent communication skills (Speaking/Writing/Presentation)
