Job Description

The Test Manager is responsible for leading and managing the testing efforts within a project or organization. They collaborate with various stakeholders to develop test strategies, plans, and ensure that the testing process is efficient, effective, and meets the project's quality goals. The Test Manager supervises a team of testers and coordinates their activities to deliver high-quality software products.

10+ years of experience in developing and implementing test strategies and plans, including test objectives, scope, resource allocation, and schedules.
Experience with test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, JIRA, TestRail).
Excellent leadership and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) may be preferred.
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and developers to understand project requirements and determine the testing approach.
Build and lead a team of testers, assigning tasks, and providing guidance and mentorship.
Ensure the team has the necessary skills and resources to perform their roles effectively.
Oversee the execution of test cases, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Monitor progress, identify issues, and ensure timely resolution of defects.
Implement and enforce quality assurance processes and standards.
Conduct reviews and audits of test artifacts to ensure compliance with best practices and project requirements.
Evaluate the feasibility of test automation and develop automated test scripts where applicable.
Manage and maintain the automation framework and tools.
Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Ensure clear and concise communication of test results to project stakeholders.
Identify and assess testing risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Report risks to project management and make recommendations for risk reduction.
Define and track key testing metrics to measure the effectiveness and progress of testing activities.
Prepare and present test status and defect reports to project stakeholders.
Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging testing technologies.
Implement process improvements and optimizations in the testing methodology.
Nice to have domain experience – Healthcare / Mobile / BFSI domain and business experience.
