The role:
As Test Designer, you will be involved in project life cycle starting from reviewing the Functional specs until the completion of testing and would comprise of:
Analyze the business requirements, understanding the requirements and Prepare test approach, test conditions, estimations.
Walkthrough team around the functional change, impact, test conditions, approach.
Develop automated scripts using automation framework that involves groovy scripting, SOAP UI tool based on features of specific applications.
Hands-on with Test execution including Manual and Automation both.
Support functional testing for the feature.
Resolving technical challenges related to automation, functional testing.
Support automated regression scenarios to be used as regression tests during E2E QA cycles.
Test Execution Activities – functional and automation.
Modifying automation framework and customize them to the project needs.
Share own technical knowledge among and across the team and capability of handling technical details/ decisions.
Contribute to the knowledge repository.
Key Responsibilities:
Good Experience in API Testing, Selenium, Java, Automation.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Testing Practice in the software industry.
Have demonstrated experience of working on SOAP UI & SOAP/REST web services.
Understand the concept of WSDL.
Have solid understanding of Agile Methodology and terminologies.
Good Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing toolsets such as Jira/Confluence/Jenkins/Bitbucket.
Have developed or worked on Test Automation framework.
Have Mainframe/SQL experience.
Have Java/Groovy Scripting experience.
Good experience in developing, review test cases/scenarios/test conditions.
Good knowledge around test planning, test documentations, test approach, test completion reports.
Detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Well versed with Defect management, Requirement traceability.
Experience of working closely with development/QA teams to define testing requirements.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
