Job Description

Responsibilities:
Drive alignment to Quality Engineering target state and maintain a clear QE roadmap.
Facilitate QE specific training and resources & align Agile practice.
Participate in periodic Community of Practice meetings.
Act as an outlet for quality escalations (e.g., process related).
Establish SMART Quality Engineering goals for Test engineers.
Hold team members accountable for quality standards within the Org.
Drive partnerships with various business areas across Citi to understand roadmap, functionality and data flow, and document business requirements, develop and manage project plans to deliver solutions.
Define processes, and standards for test case design & development, test case execution, reviews of requirements, and project artefacts.
Define, plan, and execute testing automation strategy for CitiFTP. Continuously monitor automation coverage and enhance the existing automation framework to increase the automation coverage.
Lead initiatives related to System Integration Testing (SIT) process and product rollout into UAT and PRODUCTION. Testing specialists who work with technology project managers, UAT professionals and users to design and implement appropriate scripts/plans for an application testing strategy/approach.
Manages multiple testing teams or a testing functional area (depending on size of business).
Resolve complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact.
Collaborate with other testing areas, development teams, IT project managers, business partners and external vendors suppliers.
Develop testing standards and ensures compliance.
Create detailed plans for managing cross testing team dependencies.
Exhibit in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of these elements in other areas.
Demonstrate in-depth understanding of how IT testing integrates within overall technology and has commercial awareness.
Evaluate subordinates' performance and makes decisions on pay increases, promotions, terminations, etc.
Impact IT testing through planning, finances budget, end results and setting policies.
Setup training and knowledge management process to create a functional knowledge pool of well-trained resources.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree.
15+ years of experience in functional and non-functional Testing.
5+ years of experience as Quality Engineering Lead.
Excellent knowledge of software testing techniques and testing tools.
Development & technical skills in Java, Python or any other programming or scripting language.
Experience in delivering projects using Agile framework is a must.
Experience in test automation methodologies / tools (Jenkins, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit).
Knowledge of functional Test tool (JIRA).
Hands on in code review, unit testing and integration testing.
Exposure to banking / financial domains.
Senior to advanced level experience in an IT Testing role with commensurate experience in people management.
In-depth understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle processes.
Thorough understanding of end-to-end testing processes and testing related tools.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent persuasive, influencing and negotiation skills.
High analytical skills.
Proven team player skills with a track record of a leadership role delivering to tight deadlines and with high quality.
