Job Description

We are looking for an experienced API Testing Lead to oversee the testing of APIs being onboarded to Azure API Management and the customization of the Developer Portal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API testing methodologies, quality assurance best practices, and a good understanding of Azure API Management.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Testing Strategy and Leadership:
Develop and implement a comprehensive testing strategy for APIs integrated with Azure API Management.
Lead and manage a team of testers, setting clear goals and expectations, and providing guidance and support.
2. Quality Assurance and Test Planning:
Ensure the quality of APIs through rigorous testing, including functional, performance, security, and integration testing.
Plan and oversee the execution of all test phases and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
3. Automation and Tools:
Implement and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts.
Select and manage appropriate tools for API testing and reporting.
4. Collaboration and Reporting:
Collaborate closely with development teams and other stakeholders to understand API functionalities and integration points.
Report on test activities, results, issues, and risks to stakeholders and propose mitigation strategies.
5. Continuous Improvement:
Continuously improve the testing process, methodologies, and tools.
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in API testing and Azure API Management.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Extensive experience in API testing, including a solid understanding of API Management.
Proven experience in leading a testing team and developing testing strategies.
Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
