Report to the Project/Test Manager
Responsible for Automation and Manual test activities for Embedded Product firmware, DD and application testing.
Develop test plan, test cases, test inputs and test procedures for
Review requirements to ensure they are complete and testable
Develop thorough product understanding and provide technical support on products / technology
Responsible for test setup management and implement methods for test repeatability with minimum maintenance
Ensure right tools, technologies and platforms are chosen for the testing. Improve test execution by using right tools and technologies
Participate in peer review of test objectives, test cases, test inputs and test procedures created by other test engineers to ensure quality
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience in Functional Testing, Whitebox testing, System Testing, Requirement Based Testing, Performance Testing, Robustness Testing and Security Testing is desirable.
Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience in Embedded Products and Application Testing.
Hands-on experience in defining software test strategy, developing test automation framework, test environment setup, test planning, test execution, monitoring along with test status reporting.
Knowledge of SDLC and Agile Methodology is desirable. Good to have knowledge of various tools like JIRA, DevOps, ALM etc.
ISTQB Foundation level (or equivalent) certification would be added Advantage.
Bachelors of Engineering Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Computer Science or Equivalent
