You will be the Level 2 support (no customer contact), responsible for customer defect investigation & verification of the fixes with impacts in all released PCS 7/PCS neo versions (Siemens DCS
Responsibilities include
Support of customer defect investigation; Reproduction of product defects; Error reconstruction from system events
Evaluation of diagnostic data (log files, trace logs, event logs, crash dump, etc.)
Preparation & Reporting of analysis / test results including defect analysis, RCA, summary to all project related stakeholders
Create/track software defects in the Defect tracking software; Validate/verify defect fixes and analyze impact of fixes with the closure of defects
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical /Instrumentation/Electronic Engineering
5+ years professional experience in DCS programming / Software Testing of DCS products
Commissioning experience of process plants
Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges
Communicate effectively and stack holder management
Set up the test environments in lab for different types of tests, which involves configuration of the products under test
Preferred Qualification
Knowledge in Software Development Lifecycle
ISTQB Foundation– Certified
Experience in TFS, Visual Studio, SCL/STL Coding, PLC usage, C# basics
